Jaipur has always been one of those locations that stayed on my bucket list for a long time.

There’s something about the symmetry, textures, and architecture here that naturally lends itself to photography. Every corner feels intentional, and every frame feels like it already exists before you even lift the camera.

When I planned my India trip, Jaipur was something I really wanted to make happen. But I didn’t have anything locked in. And then Anju and Ryan happened. During a consultation call for their wedding, we started talking about engagement shoots. I casually mentioned that I was planning to visit Jaipur. Funny enough, it was already on their bucket list as well.

What started as a simple conversation quickly turned into a full plan. They adjusted their travel schedule in India just so we could make this shoot happen together. That kind of intention always shows up in the photos.

We spent a couple of days exploring Jaipur, chasing sunrise light, navigating language barriers, and figuring things out along the way. The result was a shoot across four of the most iconic pre wedding shoot locations in Jaipur.

Amber Fort

Amber Fort is one of the most popular pre wedding shoot locations in Jaipur, and it’s easy to see why.The scale, symmetry, and warm tones of the architecture create a perfect setting for portraits. But timing is everything here. We reached around 5:00 AM to shoot during sunrise, before the crowd started building up. That early access gave us empty spaces, soft light, and complete creative freedom.

Jal Mahal

Jal Mahal offers a completely different mood compared to Amber Fort. It’s minimal, calm, and centered around reflections. The palace sits in the middle of the lake, creating a clean and elegant frame. We chose sunrise again for this location. The backlight from the rising sun adds a soft glow and works beautifully for silhouettes.

Panna Meena Ka Kund Stepwell

Panna Meena Ka Kund is one of the most visually striking locations in Jaipur. The repeating stair patterns create incredible symmetry and depth, making it a favorite for photographers. The structure itself does most of the work, so even simple compositions look strong. We spent time experimenting with angles, using both top and bottom perspectives.

Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is one of the most unique pre wedding shoot locations in Jaipur. Unlike the other spots, this location is all about abstract shapes, curves, and shadows. Originally built for astronomical observations, the structures create a very modern and artistic feel. If you want variety in your shoot, this location adds a completely different visual language.

Jaipur had been on my list for a long time, and to finally experience it with a couple who were just as excited made it even better.

It wasn’t perfect. There were early mornings, language challenges, and moments where we had to figure things out on the go. But that’s honestly part of what made it memorable. Jaipur is one of those cities that rewards effort. If you plan it right, it gives you some of the most unique and timeless visuals.

And this definitely won’t be the last time I shoot here. If you’re planning a pre wedding shoot in Jaipur, feel free to reach out to us . I’d love to help you plan something like this
